Welcome to another round of company domain movers with recent domain registrations, domain purchases and simply movers from large companies. If domain owners are paying attention, they could maximize some future sales with today’s article, mainly because of my discoveries relating to Discovery Communications today, but several more as well.
Wide range of discoveries today, so enjoy!
Amazon Inc.
It is very common for Amazon to register domain names the morning/day of an announced product or service and it was no different this time around. Amazon registered several domain names
relating to the announcement of its 3D products / store offerings.
amazon3dp.com
amazon3dprintedproducts.com
amazon3dproducts.com
amazon3dstore.com
Hearst Business Media Corporation
Hand registered the domain name BullseyeProspecting.com . The domain was registered before but had expired on 11/28/2013 via GoDaddy. It appears they will likely use the domain pretty
quickly as they set name servers to Amazon hosting right away but the domain doesn’t resolve currently for me.
Fusion Media Networks, LLC
Registered the domain name FusionRiseup.com . No big deal and I often do not look into these domain (brandname + keyword) registrations but I do from time to time, because depending on the
reason behind the registration, it “can” lead to show some potential that the company may be interested in purchasing the exact match domain. In this case, that domain is Riseup.com, which
is owned by Rise.com . Then you see info like this which then forces me to look into Elevate.com and realize they (Rise.com) purchased that domain name on or about 3/4/2014.
That is a short story on how you can dig and find things. By doing, out of curiosity.
Think Finance
Purchased the domain name Elevate.com on or about 3/4/2014. I reached out to the seller but have not heard back at the time of posting. (see above how I discovered this)
Discovery Communications, LLC
Registered the domain names BrideByDesign.net .org and currently does not own the .com, which is listed for $2,488 via BuyDomains.com
They also registered the domain name BuddysBakeryRescue.com / .net
They also registered the domains BuyingNaked.net / .org and currently do not own the .com, which is listed for sale by Christian Calvin according to whois.
They also registered the domains CurvyBrides.net / .org and currently do not own the .com which is listed with BuyDomains.com for $988
They also registered the domains EscapingAlaska.com / .net / .org
They also registered the domain name ReturnToAmish.net / .org and currently do not own the .com, which is listed for sale via Sedo
They also registered the domain names TLCSeason.com / .net
They also registered the domain name SexSentMeToTheER.net / .org and appear not to own the .com which is under privacy protection at PDR.
Those are many of Discovery Communications shows and or relate to them in some way. It’s hard to say if they will try and purchase the .com’s of each, but it would make sense for them to do so…
Einstein Noah Restaurant Group, Inc
Registered the domain name PumpkinBagelBash.com and PumpkingBagelBash.com
General Electric Company
Registered the domain names SatelliteDefenseTechnologies.com and .net
Disney Enterprises, Inc.
Registered the domain names YourDisneyDays.com and ZipToDisney.com
Merz Pharma GmbH & Co. KGaA
Registered the domain name VoicePartner.net and currently does not own the .com, so a heads up to GRIFFIN IT MEDIA, INC. who currently has the domain parked and likely for sale.
Hyatt Corporation
Registered the domain name RelaxPlayIndulge.com which already redirects to the Indian Wells Spa and Resort page on Hyatt.com, showing a 25% off promotion from September 7 – October 16
2014.
Diageo Brands B.V.
Registered the domain name MadeOfBlack.net with CSC Corporate Domains, Inc. and appears not to own the .com . Interesting though, MadeOfBlack.com was registered pretty recently on
3/20/2014 at Domain.com and is under privacy protection. The two could be connected but it is hard to tell at this point.
To note, I have been seeing larger companies register domains at large regitrars like GoDaddy, Domain.com, eNom.com and use privacy protection and then later transfer into a corporate
domain service provider. This can help “hide” the domain a little better due to the large volume of domain registrations that take place like at GoDaddy. This may not be the case here, and
if it’s not… then somebody may have some insider information.
Diageo is the world’s leading premium drinks business with an outstanding collection of beverage alcohol brands across spirits, beer and wine. These brands include Johnnie Walker, Crown
Royal, J&B, Windsor, Buchanan’s and Bushmills whiskies, Smirnoff, Ciroc and Ketel One vodkas, Baileys, Captain Morgan, Tanqueray and Guinness.
Acushnet Company
Hand registered the domain name GolfGloveGuide.com . I just wanted to show that a company that large, does register these types of domains. Is the domain “good” or a wise investment for a
reseller? No! Not if your looking for a big payday at least.
Acushnet Company, comprised of the Titleist and FootJoy golf brands, is committed to providing both serious and recreational golfers alike with products and services of superior
performance and quality. Annual sales in 2010 Acushnet were $1.2 Billion.
VeriSign, Inc.
Registered the domain name DnsDoneRight.com and DnsDoneRight.net . The .com was registered before but expired in 2009. Make sense domains, so nice registrations.
Warner Music Inc.
Registered the domain name WarnerMusicKey.com and has just set name servers, so this may be launching very soon. I’m not sure if this has anything to do with what Andrew reported about
Google registering some “Music Key” domains or not.
Paramount Pictures
Registered the domain name YouAreAPioneer.com
Facebook, Inc.
Registered the domain name FacebookSecurityAlerts.com
