A somewhat newer start-up called Hint Health which was founded by Zak Holdsworth and Graham Melcher have purchased the domain name Hint.com for an undisclosed sum from Roy Messer’s Nett Corp. The domain name transaction was likely handled at Sedo.com based on DNS history timing when the whois records changed.
A July 18, 2013 whois history records shows Hint.com going from ParkLogic to SedoParking. A November 8, 2013 whois record displays that the domain has transferred to GoDaddy and is under privacy. DNS has not changed since that time and Hint.com resolves to the Hint Health website, which is still in beta / soft launch from what I can tell, because there is just a sign up form with the message:
Ready to be a doctor again?
Technology should support great care, not get in the way. We are working with a select group of direct care providers helping them get back to their first priority, their patients.
I have reached out to Roy to see if he was able to share any details on the domain sale but I’m sure it’s under a NDA.
In general, I think this is really a strong case showing that if you mean business, you are going to come to the table with a great domain name! One that can give you instant creditably. Hint.com is a great domain name, powerful by itself and can show you mean business.
Interesting to note, Body.com sold for $380,000 right around that mid July 2013 time frame.
Nett Corp was also the seller of Vodka.com for $3 Million. Roy doesn’t sell his domains cheap so I wouldn’t expect Hint.com selling for cheap either. This domain sale is over a year old, but I didn’t see it being reported, so I figured I would share it.
