Welcome to the second round of “GoMarch” in which I highlight 5 domain names a day that were Marchex owned domain names that GoDaddy acquired for $28 Million Dollars and are now selling with Buy Now prices!
The following are some great domain names that have been hard to nearly imposable to acquire in the past but are now being offered for sale in a much easier fashion with less hassle. No auction to deal with, no negotiating (but you can if you wish) and owned by a publicly traded company!
You can see the full series of this by visiting the GoMarch category here on DotWeekly. Here we go with the 5 domains highlight today:
Domain Name | Buy Now Price | Minimum Offer Price
Pickers.com | $50,000 | $32,500 | Pickers are people who purchase items, mainly hard to find, unique or antiques from flea markets, auctions and private individuals. There is an extremely popular TV show on the History channel called American Pickers. A&E Television Networks should really purchase this domain… but you can too!
WhenPigsFly.com | $9,999 | $6,499 | I LOVE common term domain names because the “name” is already known by so many! When Pigs Fly is in reference to “something that is likely to never happen”. The term was even used in a Super Bowl ad by Doritos. There are several companies that use the term to promote products. This is a great domain name to launch behind a product that was once only a thought but now is reality! It carries a strong message just in the name and is a steal at under $10K for marketing message and awareness of the term!
Provolone.com | $20,000 | $13,000 | This Italian cheese is loved by millions and made by a lot of cheese companies, yet only one can own the generic exact match domain name! With over 4.8 Million results in Google, this domain will surely help you rise to the top of the results and is also a great branding tool on packaging and advertising! Add in the fact that 10’s of thousands already naturally search for the term each month and you have a big win and money well spent!
Deserving.com | $12,000 | $7,800 | There are a lot of funding websites on the internet like GoFundMe and general crowdfunding services and Deserving is an outstanding brand name to enter the space! Is the product, service or request deserving of your money? You decide with your money and I see deserving as a make sense brand name for a crowdfunding service. Is this one word domain deserving your bid? I think so!
Valued.com | $15,000 | $9,750 | I really like this domain and I think it’s priced right! The English word holds the definition of: considered to be important or beneficial; cherished.
Putting a value on something is often hard and there are a lot of companies that offer professional appraisal services and Valued.com is a great brand just for that! Multiple uses beyond what I have mentioned as the domain can be used for a company that focuses on assets of any kind and plenty of other uses.
I dug hard today to find great domain names at value! Those five above mentioned domains I think have value and would be an asset to own. The links send you directly to the domains listing page, so I hope that you use them for the service I am providing. They are affiliate links, but cost you nothing “extra” to use them. I get a small % of the commission if a domain name is acquired through my link.
More great domain names to come, so please check back, save up some money because there are going to be some great investment domain names and more! GoDaddy is very slowly buy now pricing the 204,000 domains they acquired, so it will take time but I’m digging as they price.
These GoMarch articles are a great idea, Jamie. You’ve found some really nice domains at pretty fair prices, IMO. I definitely agree Valued and Deserving have many potential uses. WhenPigsFly is great. Absolutely love short memorable idioms/phrases that are used to send a powerful message. For those making the impossible happen we recently purchased a similar domain, PigsFlying. 🙂
Glad you enjoy them Ian! A lot more great domains to come… including some more idioms, generics, brandable and more.
Thanks for doing the hard work of sifting through but is there somewhere the whole list can be viewed?
I’m not aware of one that is publicly available but with some work I’m sure one could be dug up.
