Kourts.com acquires Courts.com in a potential six figure domain transaction
Kourts, a tennis club management software offering has acquired the premium generic domain name Courts.com. Courts.com had a buy now offering price of $175,000 at Sedo. The domain name was purchased at domain name aftermarket service Afternic.
The past owners of the domain name are unknown, but the domain name was parked with ParkingSpa.com and registered under whois privacy at Uniregistry.
Kourts was founded in 2016, with the new startup located in Los Angeles (US), Stockholm (Sweden) and Warsaw (Poland) according to the companies LinkedIn page. Ricardo Banegas is the CTO and Co-Founder of Kourts and based in Sweden.
Since the brand name Kourts “sounds like” the more common spelling, Courts, the startup either purchased the domain name to capture the leaked web traffic and emails or is potentially doing a rebrand to actual Courts. Either way, it was a wise investment.
Currently, Courts.com is redirecting to Kourts.com.
Congrats to both buyer and sellers.
