Back with another round of a couple domain name movers that I had noticed this morning that would likely go unreported otherwise (at least in most cases and if they do… you very likely read it here first) and wanted to share them with you!
ChasePay.com was purchased by JPMorgan Chase & Co. for the likely listed buy it now amount of $1,395 from HugeDomains.com . I was a little surprised they hadn’t owned this domain already but they didn’t. It was created at least in 2002 according to whois history records (and not owned by them) but dropped from the registry in 2012 and was grabbed on the drop by HugeDomains.
HugeDomains.com had it’s number picked again and this time was Allianz Insurance who purchased the domain name BecauseItMatters.com for $895. Nice domain for an advertising campaign. Catchy and will work well relating to “insurance” for things that matter to potential customers.
HPE.com has potentially sold. Whois information has changed from High Point Enterprise and being registered with Network Solutions to being transferred to MarkMonitor under the generic DNStination Inc. DNS has not changed, so there is the potential that High Point may be moving domains to MarkMonitor… but it would be odd to show DNStination Inc. in whois if that was the case.
Hewlett-Packard Company also happened to register some similar domains… HPE-PAC.com, HPEnterprisePAC.com, HPEPAC.com so one would use an educated guess and say that it’s related and HP was the buyer of HPE.
~ Amazon registered A LOT of “Cloud Front” .net typo domain names… like a lot, and ones I wouldn’t even consider “typo” unless you type with a club cast! Clou7ldFront.net for an example as the L and 7 are not even close on the keyboard! I didn’t count how many they registered but it was a fair amount.
Hex.com appears to have been acquired by NASDAQ in some fashion from Hex Plc. The domain is now forwarding to NasdaqOMXNordic.com but only if you add www. . Hex.com does not resolve currently… (amazes me that this happens!)
SecretIdiot.com was hand registered yesterday by a currently unknown company. Not sure why this one grabbed my eye out of the many hand registered domains I had seen registered by large companies… but Secret Millionaire comes to mind for some reason.
