Here are the latest detection’s DotWeekly has made for domain names companies are buying and selling. Several nice (and expensive) domain names were on the move the past couple days and here is a snapshot of some of those:
Anheuser-Busch InBev S.A. registers the domain name BrewingRight.com adding to its portfolio of over 1,200 domain names.
RWE AG has acquired the domain name AppYourFuture.com and also registered the .net/org/info domain names to go along.
Unilever registered four new domain names: MySortNet.com, MySortNetwork.com, SortNetwork.com and SortSensor.com
Finger.com has been sold by Infospace, Inc./Blucora Inc. to Oliver Hoger of Virtual Real. Infospace (now Blucora) holds a fair amount of premium domain names like Heart.com, Zoo.com, Author.com, Parent.com, Stuff.com (acquired from Mike Berkens), Nation.com, Lobby.com and more. They also own Dogpile, Excite and WebCrawler. Oliver is a domain name investor.
BGN.com appears to have been sold by Anything.com, Ltd. to GoldenName.com. Whois information has basically went unchanged but 4.CN escrow services Inc. was added to it, so it likely has been sold.
Dick’s Sporting Goods has acquired the domain name SecondSkin.com, which was parked with DomainNameSales. The domain used Afternic escrow, so it likely sold on Afternic for an undisclosed price.
Seqirus UK Limited has acquired the domain name Flu.uk.com from Novartis. CSL Limited acquired the influenza vaccine business of Novartis for $275 Million. MedImmune, LLC which is part of Astrazeneca owns Flu.com, which they are currently offering for sale.
Sightline Media Group LLC has taken ownership of the premium 3 letter domain name Mco.com (mco.com) from Times News Group, Inc. when the domain name transferred from registrar MarkMonitor to GoDaddy. Tegna, Inc. recently sold Sightline Media. Sightline Media Group was formerly Gannett Government…
CFBA.com was acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. The domain was owned by Name Capital LLC in early April 2016 and moved to privacy at Dynadot around April 14, 2016 at the time it likely sold. The domain has now transferred to MarkMonitor using the generic DNStination Inc. in whois records.
Corporate Filings LLC has acquired the domain name ShellCompany.com from GoDaddy’s NameFind domain name portfolio for an undisclosed amount.
SEI.com (sei) which was owned by SEGRO Administration Ltd and registered with Ascio (part of NetNames) has transferred to GoDaddy and put under privacy protection. The domain name does not resolve, so at this time it is hard to tell if it sold or not. Name servers are still set to NetNames. The domain has been registered since January 20, 1989.
MediaOptions is exclusively brokering the Infospace domain portfolio. Some properties are not for sale but most of those you mentioned are! Contact us if you are interested in any of these domains!
