Welcome to the latest Domain Movers. These articles put a pulse on the the corporate domain transactions that often would go unreported otherwise, so DotWeekly brings them to light for you.
Here is a very small sampling of domains on the move over the past 24 hours:
CubeSensors has folded its company into a wireless access company called Klevio according to a TechCrunch article. Klevio.com was hand registered on January 22, 2016 by a Demetrios Zoppos of London and moved to whois privacy shortly after by February 9, 2016. At the time of the whois privacy change, the name servers were also changed and is likely when the domain was acquired.
To note, Klev.io is also owned by the new company Klevio Ltd and potentially was the first domain prior to the .com.
Manitowoc Foodservice, Inc. is rebranding as Welbilt Inc. and owns the EMD Welbilt.com. The history of the domain is tied to a company called Enodis, which Manitowoc Company acquired in 2008 for $1.87 Billion.
Spil Games Intangibles B.V. registered the domain name CityOfAlpha.com, adding to the 800+ other domain names they own.
MotherMovie.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. The domain was part of GoDaddy’s NameFind portfolio.
Convenience.org has been acquired at Sedo for $55,000 and was purchased by NACS (The Association For Convenience & Fuel Retailing). NACS currently uses NacsOnline.com as its main domain.
Johnson & Johnson registered the domain name HydroBoostMakeup.com. HydroBoost.com is currently for sale for $6,250 on Afternic. Over at Key Systems, via its brand, Brand Shelter, they registered the domain name HydraBoostMakeup.com. J&J is a Brand Shelter customer.
Dik.com has been sold at Sedo, with the buyers currently unknown. The domain sold for $22,066. The domain was owned by a Chinese registrant, so I’m interested to see who the buyer is. It’s not often that Chinese owned domains make it back to US owners and this one just might due to where it sold.
QP.com has been sold at Sedo. The domain was under privacy and appears to have been owned by a Ukraine resident and the new buyers are located in China. Wenbin Wu is listed in whois records.
This is the first 2L I have seen move lately after they were moving a fair amount prior. To note, ZK.com was recently listed on Sedo and has a $1M offering price.
Amazon Technologies registered several new domain names and those include: AmazonBlacktop.com, AmazonDriveline.com and AmazonOptimus.com
Ideawise Limited were the buyers of Fuck.com, which has now moved out of Escrow, with whois records now displaying Ideawise as the owners.
Armour.com has moved out of generic whois data and now displays Armor Defense Inc. The domain name was acquired about August 10, 2015 according to whois records. Armour.com is redirecting to Armor.com which is a cloud hosting solution service.
The new owners of fuck, com also bought gays.com a couple of years ago and have some other adult projects as well.
