Welcome to GoMarch, an exclusive series on DotWeekly where I research generic domains recently acquired by GoDaddy.com which acquired over 200,000 domain names from Marchex for $28 Million dollars.
These domains were pretty hard to acquire in the past but that has changed now that GoDaddy owns them and they have started to Buy Now price the domains for easy purchase. Digging through over 200,000 domains to find the good ones isn’t easy so I’m digging the domains to find goodies and I highlight 5 each day in the GoMarch series. Here are five for today:

BlackPanther.com | $35,000 | $22,750 | Great brandable generic term! 26.2 Million results in Google for the term. 75,625 exact match searches a month! Yes, Seventy Five Thousand! Out of the 204K domains in the GoMarch domain portfolio, this is one of very few like this domain! The black panther is simply an amazingly beautiful animal! There are some pluses and minus with the term “Black Panther”. From the 60’s – 80’s with the “Black Panther Party“, the comic book / Marvel black panther and not to mention the “animal”. I still like it!
Trademarked.com | $15,000 | $9,750 | Nice brand name for a trademark lawyer! The real question, can you trademark, trademarked? Why not! Would also work for a trademark search service. Brand coverage site and really anything to do with trademarks!
Lighter.com | $125,000 | $81,250 | An outstanding domain name and the price reflects it! Unlimited uses and an amazing one word brand name! I could go on and on with current products that match this domain but there would be SO many! This domain is too good for the flame source but maybe Bic or Zippo could use it!
Hearty.com | $30,000 | $19,500 | Wholesome and substantial. Very strong term for a food related product or service. Branding in a box baby! This is the type of brand name huge companies love to launch brands behind! $30K is peanuts for a power brand name and one vital part of the puzzle is the matching domain name.
MissingPerson.com | $12,500 | $8,125 | It would be morally hard to make money on a bad situation like this, but people do and the term is very well known. A domain to do good with! To note, the plural term MissingPersons.com sold 9 days ago on NameJet for $1,533 so that is something to be aware of.

I owned BlackPanthers.com for 10+ years and never had any offers of more than a few hundred dollars for it. I sold it 2 years ago as part of a large package of domains.
Lighter.com – If you want to create a Bic/Zippo type site, I can tell you how to make a cigarette lighter. Just take out the tobacco.
