Welcome to the latest Domain Movers series where DotWeekly focuses on corporate domain name transactions and reports the movements to you. Let’s get right into the past movements we detected over the past 24 hours:
Figureate.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. The domain was owned by HugeDomains and had an offering price of $2,195
Alibaba Group Holding Limited has acquired ShenJing.com which was using Uniregistry services at the time of the purchase and was also listed for sale at Sedo. I was not able to find any sort of offering price or sales price.
Williamson-Dickie Mfg. Co. (Dickies brand) registered several interesting domain names, simply because they offer clothing and some of the new registered domains really do not relate to that. DickiesHardware.com and DickiesTools.com are the two that jumped out at me as interesting. They also registered DickiesGear.com, DickiesSupply.com and DickiesAccessories.com which are more in-line with what the brand currently offers.
MeteoGroup Limited has acquired GridGuard.com at domain name aftermarket service Sedo. The domain had an offering price of $1,900 on Afternic but that doesn’t mean it sold for that amount. It could have been more or less to note.
Hankook Chinaware living Co., Ltd has acquired Geoflo.com at Sedo for $1,929 USD.
React.com has been sold at Sedo but the buyers are not currently known due to it being early in the transaction. React B.V. was the seller and the domain was being marketed around June 2016 by Sedo broker Albert Schimmel.
Porkie.com has been acquired by Ionn Inc. at a potentially really good price of only $1,200 (I had seen a listing with this price but can’t confirm that is what it sold for). A Porkie is a breed of dog that is a cross between a Pomeranian and Yorkshire Terrier.
Jenison Ltd. of the UK has acquired MicroLearn.com at Afternic for an undisclosed amount. They offer eLearning solutions.
GoDaddy has sold one of its premium domain name assets out of the NameFind domain portfolio and this time it was a big one! TS.com has been sold in a potentially 7 figure domain sale. GoDaddy acquired about 24 two letter .com domain names which DotWeekly broke the news on when they acquired the “Elite Domains” portfolio and has since sold about 4 of the 2 letter .com assets to date. FH.com, JC.com and FJ.com were the others that have been sold. The Elite Domains portfolio contained over 100,000 domain names and GoDaddy paid a reportedly $42 million for it.
