Here are some of the latest domain name movers from the corporate side that I like to focus on.
WhiteWave Services, Inc. has acquired the domain name OneChange.com for an undisclosed amount, continuing its domain name buying after recently acquiring premium domain name Horizon.com. WhiteWave is being acquired by Danone’s for about $10.1 Billion, as announced in July 2016.
LushLawn.com has been acquired by LushLawn.net. TruGreen Limited Partnership owned the domain name prior, so this appears to be a little guy buying from a big guy (instead of the common, other way around).
Nation Online Inc. has acquired UpperClass.com out of the Godaddy NameFind portfolio for an undisclosed amount.
JTN.com appears to have been acquired by GoldenName.com from Anything.com, Ltd according to whois records.
Abbott Laboratories were the buyers of Alinity.com and appear to be getting ready to use the domain.
Unknown MarkMonitor client has acquired the domain name Elite-Group.com via Sedo for an undisclosed amount. The non-hyphen version is also for sale.
Unilever PLC registered several “advertising” type domain names and those included: OwnYourRewards.com, MakeYourLookYourOwn.com & OwnYourEveryday.com
Pacific Magazines Pty Ltd registered the domain name MamaCrew.com
Hurley Chrysler Jeep Dodge Ram (Georgia dealership) acquired ChrylserPacifica.com from the GoDaddy/NameFind portfolio in an interesting sale! Chrysler Pacifica is the new name for the popular mini van Town And Country. Chrysler Pacifica was once a SUV. The domain was owned by Marchex prior, which GoDaddy acquired its domain name portfolio for some $28 Million.
Systemax briefly allowed its stock ticker symbol domain name SYX.com to expire at Network Solutions on September 6, 2016 but the domain was renewed 3 days later on September 9, 2016 according to whois records.
Genuine Parts Company (GPC) has acquired the domain name NapaConnect.com for $10,000 via Sedo. The domain had a $22,800 buy now price at Afternic and was owned by Name Administration Inc. GPC is better known for its subsidiary National Automotive Parts Association, NAPA.
