This is Domain Movers! We do our best to keep track of corporate domain name transactions and report the early findings to you. These transactions often relate to new brands, new products, new services, new advertising campaigns and more.
Coming off of a weekend, movements are always down compared to week days but here are the latest movers:
Hulu, LLC registered HuluWithLiveTV.com/.net hinting at something new and adding to the 400+ domain names they own.
Apple Inc. registered a bit of an odd domain name, Map-ID.info and they do not own the .com nor MapID.com or .info.
Sentiment.com goes into escrow via Escrow.com. The domain was owned by Schaeffer’s Investment Research prior and whois is now showing ownership by Worldwide Retailing, LLC.
ThisIsAOK.com has moved into MarkMonitor and Fox appears to be the potential new owners of the domain based on name servers. The domain was under privacy at Tucows prior.
Microsoft Corporation registered CastleSiege.net and CastleSiegeGame.com/.net. They do not appear to own CastleSiege.com as it’s under privacy at eNom currently and listed for sale on Afternic with a $500 minimum offer amount. There is a “Castle Siege Chess” trademark that was filed in 2015 but relates to Board Games and is not owned by Microsoft.
IvTools.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain was owned by HugeDomains prior and held a $2,095 buy now price.
Grippy.com has transferred registrars from Dynadot to MarkMonitor coming out of privacy and moving under New Pig Corporation. New Pig offers products and solutions for spills and clean up of liquids like oil.
Australian Postal Corporation were the buyers of DigitalID.com which I mentioned earlier selling but the buyers were unknown at the time.
EQ.com has been sold out of GoDaddy’s NameFind domain name portfolio. I personally worked on this domain name for many months with a company that’s launching a new brand called EQ but in the end, they didn’t feel they needed the domain name for the brand. Clearly I strongly disagreed with this and I know they made a mistake. Sometimes even though it makes perfect sense to you, doesn’t mean it does to others. The domain name was acquired by 62.com, moving it into the Chinese market.
Towers Watson has acquired ViaBenefits.com at domain name aftermarket service Afternic.com. The domain has been registered since 2003 and was owned by Network Solutions New Ventures Services, Corp. who took ownership after the domain expired on 12/31/2016.
Server Case UK Ltd has acquired ServerStore.com out of GoDaddy NameFind domain name portfolio for an undisclosed amount.
Beijing Blue Sky UAV Technology Co.,Ltd has acquired Ltfy.com, which was acquired in 2013 at Sedo by the seller.
good stuff, thanks
EQ.com monster name, so much for Asians shunning vowels…
