Domain Movers: Cooled.com, Masking.com + More

This is Domain Movers, an exciting series where DotWeekly highlights corporate domain name transactions, which often indicate new brands, future marketing efforts and much more.

Here are the latest domain transactions:

Amazon Technologies, Inc. registered several interesting domain names and those included: JustAddMagicSeries.com, AllOrNothingSeries.com, TheLastTycoonSeries.com, ManInTheHighCastleSeries.com, SneakyPeteSeries.com and TheManInTheHighCastleSeries.com. These appear to all relate to TV series on Amazon.

Safilo S.p.A. / Polaroid registered the domain names PolaroidX.com and PolaroidEyewearX.com. They continued with PolaroidPeer.com and PolaroidPop.com.

CooledLite has acquired its EMD .com domain name from the GoDaddy NameFind portfolio by acquiring Cooled.com. They offer a unique LED. Cooled. One thing about LED lights that I know, is you can not put a standard LED bulb in an enclosure or they burn out pretty quickly. The CooledLite version acts as a “can light” but the whole bulb is the part you see on the ceiling. Check it out at Cooled.com to see what I mean.

Admin Arsenal, Inc. were the buyers of PDQ.com, which I announced sold the other day at Sedo. I was not able to find the sales price. Admin Arsenal offers software deployment called PDQ Deploy and PDQ Inventory.

Masking.com has been sold but the buyers are currently unknown due to it being early in the transaction. The domain had an offering price of $8,500.

HiRoad.com I had announced in August 2016 that it was acquired by an unknown MarkMonitor client. That client is still unknown but with some new domain registrations, it points in a direction of what they plan to offer. Insurance. New registrations, still hid behind generic whois, include HiRoadInsurance.com/.net, HiRoadAssurance.com/net, HiRoadAuto.com, HiRoadClaim.com, HiRoadHelp.com, HiRoadRenters.com, HiRoadSucks.com and more.

Etsy, Inc. registered the domain ALittleStatic.com adding to the 427 other domain names they own.

Wm. Wrigley Jr. Co. registered TheGumWithGame.com and GumWithGame.com adding to the 876 other domains they own.

Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer Studios, Inc. (MGM) has acquired LightTv.com, which took place around September 23, 2016. MGM announced in November 2016 they were to launch a new 24 hour faith and family entertainment network, called Light TV.

Viacom International Inc. has acquired TheHighCourt.com domain name that was owned by BuyDomains.com for an undisclosed amount.

Colaps.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client from HugeDomains. The transaction appears to have taken place back in April 2016.

Goallover Limited has acquired Overmore.com at domain name aftermarket service Sedo for a currently undisclosed amount.

AbbVie Inc. (Abbott) registered the domain name Cocures.com adding to its domain name portfolio of over 7,600 domain names.

CORPORATE ALLIANCE LLC has acquired its EMD .com, CorporateAlliance.com from GoDaddy’s NameFind portfolio. The domain was out of the Marchex portfolio.

Corporate domain buy service Marksmen was busy and acquired 4 domains for currently unknown clients. Those domains included Diggster.com, LyftAngel.com, ShirtLyfter.com and ShoeGenius.com

Internext Communications has sold the domain name GoInsure.com to a currently unknown buyer. The transaction is taking place at Escrow.com and the domain name had a $48,000 offering price. The domain was using a for sale lander.

ChatBase.com and ChatBase.net have been been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. The domains went into whois privacy protection on October 21, 2016 and have now transferred to MarkMonitor.
