Here are some more domain name movers that have been sold/purchased lately that likely wouldn’t be reported otherwise that I noticed while doing some digging. Several nice domains in today’s list.
BabyBottles.com has been sold by Playtex Products, LLC a very popular brand that makes and sells Baby Bottles? I had noticed this domain name for sale and I had mentioned the domain name listed for sale by MarkMonitor and its DnStinations Inc. after I discovered an Afternic listing page for them. After I wrote the article, several of the domains have been sold but this one may have been the highest amount from what I can tell. BabyBottles.com was in the list, but I forgot the exact minimum offer / buy now price to have a general idea of what it may have sold for, but I somewhat recall that it was listed higher than most in the list, but it has been purchased by a Brock Nosbisch according to whois records.
Twitter has taken the “Google Doodles” route and has registered the domain name TwitterDoodles.com
The Coca-Cola Company has purchased the domain name HomeBowl.com from HugeDomains.com for the likely buy it now price of $2,295. Will this be used in the 2015 Super Bowl?
TradeNames.com has sold the domain name Respectfully.com for a currently unknown sales price.
Rode.com has been sold by Tucows to Freedman Electronics PTY LTD for its RODE Microphones for a currently undisclosed amount. This is a domain name upgrade for the company as they currently use the domain name RodeMic.com to help promote the product and will likely switch to the Rode.com domain name as a “main domain”. Rode.com was created in June 1996.
Home Box Office, Inc. which announced around October 2014 that they would start offering stand alone HBO without cable or satellite subscriptions via streaming… will likely do the same thing with Cinemax! They registered a couple Cinemax domains like Cinemax-Now.com, Order-Cinemax.com, Order-MaxNow.com as well as several other HBO Now type domains. It would appear that these streaming services are going to be called HBO Now and Cinemax Now. To note, HBO also set up Amazon hosting on the domain name OrderHBO.com .
ARCA Tech Systems of Mebane, NC was the buyers of the ARCA.com domain I mentioned the other day. They have launched a website on the domain name.
Nature.net has been purchased by Houzz Inc. from General Electric (ge) according to whois records for an undisclosed amount.
EchoCall.com was purchased by Amazon Technologies, Inc. on Sedo. I haven’t seen the sales price published publically yet. This will likely be used with the recently launched Echo product by Amazon.
Good list. Given the seller and buyer + domain and the fact that nature.com is likely not for sale, Nature.net simply has to be one of the biggest .net sales of all time.
The sale of BabyBottles.com is another example of Corporate America divesting of Premium domains….like when Brown Shoe Co. recently sold Shoe.com.
