Here is the latest Domain Movers, highlighting domain name transactions by companies.
Short list today but several big names.
Impact Radius has rebranded as Impact and acquired the premium domain name Impact.com to go along with it. DomainGang.com reported the domain sale in April 2017, when Future Media Architects sold the domain for an undisclosed amount.
Consulting.com sold around September 13, 2016 and moved into whois privacy, transferring from Tucows to GoDaddy. It appears the domain name was acquired by entrepreneur Sam Ovens, who has since launched a business on the domain name for consulting. It is stated on the websites: “In 2017 Sam realized that he had started a movement that was bigger than himself. He started a new company and acquired the domain Consulting.com”.
The sales price of the domain name is unknown but the domain name did sell in 2005 for $180,000 in a live domain auction to Marco Publishing and it does appear that Marco were the sellers to Sam.
Nowe.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The transaction took place at Sedo for an undisclosed amount but CVCV .com domain names can be well into five figures and even six figures.
JeFe.com has been sold by Name Administration Inc. The domain name held a buy now of $88,400 but the exact sales price is unknown. The domain is under whois privacy but is redirecting to CasinoJefe.com. Lucky Dino Gaming Limited is the owner of CasinoJefe.com.
Itch.com has moved into escrow at Afternic and quickly out to a holding account at GoDaddy. The domain name was owned by Itch Inc. prior and has been registered since April 1995. Based on the whois record, it would appear that GoDaddy’s domain buy service was used to acquire the domain name but that is hard to confirm. Based on the email address, it’s similar to domains I have seen that used the buy service. TDNAM Holding Buyer Unreachable from my understanding is simply a holding account but also indicates that the buyer is not responding and the reason the domain moved to a holding account.
Art.com has transferred out of Markmonitor and over to brand protection service CSC Corporate Domains. Art.com, Inc. owns about 500 domain names, one of which is Poster.com which also moved. I’m not sure if this transfer has anything to do with a recent deceptive pricing settlement for $20M that Art.com Inc. lost?
Barba IT-Solutions of Germany has acquired Aquan.com from Name Administration Inc. The domain name held a buy now of $27,300 at the time of the purchase, although the exact sales price is unknown.
Zumba Fitness, LLC has registered StrongAnywhere.com adding to the 300+ other domain names owned by the company. This sounds like a tagline or marketing message slogan. The domain name was registered before but expired in 2014 and has been unregistered since.
Interesting that Itch.com was sold. I wonder what Itch Inc will use now. It would also have been a high price.
