Domain Movers highlights company focused domain name transactions. These are often early indicators of new brands, products, services, advertising efforts and more.
As always, these are mainly all very early discoveries and I try to provide as much info as I can with each. Here are the latest:
Bidr.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain name was owned by Name Administration Inc. prior.
Twitch Interactive, Inc. has taken ownership of FiveGods.com from GoodGame (GGA). This appears to relate to a gaming battle event called Battle of the Five Gods at SXSW.
Parris Law Firm has acquired Parris.com from Tucows, out of its Mailbank domain name portfolio of surnames for an undisclosed amount.
Digits.com, which was owned by Google LLC, has transferred out of brand protection service MarkMonitor to GoDaddy under whois privacy and name servers set to Amazon. Google acquired Digits.com when it acquired Crashlytics, Inc. and things are pointing toward that the domain name likely sold. There is potential that the domain will be used for something “connected” to Google, but that will not be known until the website resolves and reveals what’s to come.
Paraclete Press has acquired Mobys.com at domain name aftermarket service Afternic for an undisclosed amount. The company is a Christian publisher. The domain name was parked with Sedo at the time, so the purchase may have been through the Afternic DLS.
Next Century Insurance were the buyers of UberInsurance.com, with the transaction taking place via Escrow.com for an undisclosed amount.
Biogen Inc. has acquired Interferons.com from Name Administration Inc. for an undisclosed but likely five figure amount.
Name Administration Inc. sold several domains (most likely all to end users), with some of those being: BrightFoods.com ($28,600 buy now), CustomerBase.com ($27,300 buy now), HBDA.com ($41,600 buy now), MM6.com ($115,700 buy now), MM9.com ($114,400 buy now), SkunkApe.com and TrafficZone.com ($36,400 buy now). The exact sales prices are unknown but the displayed buy now prices are displayed for each that had one.
SnagaJob has acquired Snag.us after rebranding simply as “Snag”. The domain held a $2,950 offering price. They did NOT acquire Snag.com at the time of rebranding, which I noted in a tweet https://twitter.com/yofie/status/981528148977377280 . DigiMedia owns Snag.com and it’s for sale.
Wal-Mart Stores, Inc. has taken ownership of Cosq.com. The domain name came out of privacy at GoDaddy and transferred into MarkMonitor. The domain was owned by Jiri Kalvoda of Louisville, Kentucky prior.
Carnival Corporation has acquired OceanView.com according to whois records. The domain name was owned by Oceanview Properties of Atlanta, GA. On February 5, 2018 the domain name transferred out of Network Solutions, to NameBright under whois privacy. On April 24, 2018 the domain name transferred to MarkMonitor displaying Carnival. The domain has been registered since August 31, 1995.
M12.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client from Name Administration Inc. for an undisclosed amount. Considering MM6.com and MM9.com held six figure offering prices, M12.com certainly may have as well. To note, M12.vc also moved (name servers) the same day, which is owned by Microsoft.
Demand Media (Leaf Group) appears to have acquired a large group of 3 letter .us domain names from GoDaddy’s NameFind portfolio. Inc.us, Jaw.us, Jot.us, Jin.us, inn.us, Pot.us and more have changed ownership to Demand Media according to whois records. It was several hundred domains, likely around 300. UPDATE: I confirmed this with GoDaddy and after some back and forth, there was some problems updating whois data with the .us domain names at eNom. GoDaddy still owns all the .us domains and these were acquired from Rightside awhile back. When the domains are transferred into GoDaddy, the whois data will update correctly.
Thank You Jamie. My Oh My!!Name Administration is on a roll.Time to adjust price again.
