Welcome to Domain Movers. We track corporate related domain name transactions and report these findings to you.

How do companies use domain names? Branding, Marketing, Advertising, Email communication and much more. Domain names are vital to companies around the world and easily allow people to visit one location. Here are the latest movements detected:

AmericasPledge.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. AmericasPledge.net and .org were acquired earlier last week and were likely purchased by the .com buyer as all moved to CSC. Rally Call Ministries owned the domains prior, with the domains being registered since 2005.

ABC, Inc. / Disney registered SkyPatriot.net adding to the 18,900+ domain names the company owns. A Kenneth Andreu of New York owns SkyPatriot.com, which was registered in May 2016.

YellowMark.com has very likely been acquired by Caterpillar Inc. The domain was for sale prior and registered at Gabia, Inc. under whois privacy but has since transferred into Dynadot under privacy (a common pattern used by MarkMonitor). To back it up, YellowMark.net was registered on July 27, 2017 at MarkMonitor as well as the .biz and .us. The .us, which doesn’t allow whois privacy, displays Caterpillar Inc. as the registrant, so they are the likely buyers of the .com. YellowMark.co and YellowMark.parts were also registered, with the gTLD giving a bit more of a hint towards use. This will likely be a new brand of sorts for Caterpillar Inc., which you are hearing here first. (p.s. it’s hard to report on things that don’t really exist yet, but I try my best to provide as much info as I can)

MyCEO / Malcolm Allen has acquired GirlsOfColor.com out of GoDaddy’s NameFind portfolio for an undisclosed amount.

Decentralization.com has also been sold out of the NameFind portfolio and moved over to Google Inc’s registrar under privacy. The domain held a $15K buy now price at the time of the sale. GoDaddy also sold, CoverYourMouth.com (purchased by a dentist), DigitalState.com, Presty.com, SneakyPetes.com, ValetMarine.com and WorkInc.com.

Varidesk, LLC has acquired Variwall.com at domain name aftermarket service Afternic.com

4Human.com, which sold at at Sedo for $10,000 was acquired by Kenneth Kristensen of 4Human.no. 4Human.com was registered on April 29, 2015 and offered for sale for $25,000.

RachelPlatten.com is now owned by Sony Music Entertainment. The singer herself was listed as the registrant prior (I would have kept it that way) with business & financial management firm Gerlfand, Rennert & Feldman listed as the registrant email address. I always suggest you retain ownership of your domain name, no matter what.

WatsonAdvertising.com has been acquired with the help of CSC Corporate Domains, Inc. Although whois doesn’t display them, I would think the buyers of this domain name are IBM (a CSC customer). They are currently using WatsonAds.com. To note, Blake Watson of Chattanooga, Tennessee owned the domain name prior and he is in the advertising business, for over 30 years. So this wasn’t just some random owner, which easily can make the purchase price increase due to the lack of motivation to sell it. The domain was in use on a fully developed website. I would have to expect that a significant offer was made to acquire the domain name. I reached out to Blake to see if he could comment but I did not hear back from him.

Robert Bosch GmbH registered several “Grow Platform” related domain names. Those included: GrowPlatform.com, Grow-Platform.com, Grow-Plattform.com, Grow-Start-Up.com, GrowPlattform.com and GrowStart-Up.com

Henkel registered Color-Choice.com, with Name Administration Inc. currently owning ColorChoice.com with the domain for sale.

Heineken International B.V. registered HomeDraughtBeer.com, adding to the 900+ other domain names the company currently owns. Draught beer is the same as Draft beer and refers to beer served from a cask or keg.

Lumiant.com has been sold at domain name aftermarket service Sedo.com for $17,500 to a currently unknown buyer.

American International Group, Inc. (AIG) registered the domain name ThisIsEffort.com, adding to the 4,300+ other domain names they currently own.

NN.com has transferred out of GoDaddy to eName under privacy. The domain was reported sold in late 2015 when Pearson Inc. had sold it (via a domain broker) to a Wang Yong of Hong Kong. Since the domain transferred out of GoDaddy to eName under privacy protection, it is currently not known if the domain changed ownership this time but holds potential to have.  To note, Mr Yong also has many of his domains registered at eName. SJ.com is an example of another of his domains, which is registered at eName. He also owns OS.com, 771.com and many 3 letter .com domains.

Microsoft Corporation continues its effort into Crypto with another set of domain registrations. This time it was CryptoNets.net & CryptoNets.org. CryptoNets.com is registered at GoDaddy and under privacy. It has been registered since 2003 and doesn’t appear to be currently owned by Microsoft.

ProDoctor Software S/A which has been using ProDoctor.net as its main domain name, has upgraded to the EMD .com via ProDoctor.com. The domain was part of GoDaddy’s NameFind portfolio.

Chamber of Commerce of the United States of America has acquired EnergyInstitute.com also out of GoDaddy’s NameFind portfolio. The US Chamber owns a fair amount of domain names, coming in at about 2,195 according to DomainTools. They use corporate domain registrar service MarkMonitor to mange its domain assets.

CapStack / David Blatt has acquired MakeTheDeal.com and is redirecting the domain name to his newly launched YouTube channel that is focused on “Make The Deal” about real estate investing. Great use of a domain name that is catchy, easy to remember and that also easily allows people to visit via direct navigation… or you could have them type out or try to remember:  https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLPIodw2pP5LbiyNM0HE6pCrzcZO5N6l8W which is where MakeTheDeal.com redirects to.

Software Projects Inc. has acquired HelpGrid.com, which was a BrandBucket listed domain name. The service is offering an on-demand call center.

Marksmen grabbed SproutMedical.com on the drop for a currently unknown client.

BCG Digital Ventures, Ltd. with the help of corporate brand protection service and domain name registrar CSC Corporate Domains, acquired MetalHub.com from its past owner. The domain has been registered since June 2003 and is now live.

Legal and General America, Inc. have acquired a version of the companies acronym, from Name Administration Inc., LGRA.com. The life insurance provider is currently using LGAmerica.com as its main domain name.
