The TJX Companies have acquired the premium generic domain name Sierra.com from Activision Publishing Inc. for an undisclosed amount. TJX is a publicly traded company, so there is potential that the purchase price may be revealed in a SEC filing at a later date. Marshalls (TJX) is currently using the domain name MarshallsOnline.com for the brands main website, while Marshalls (UK) is/was using both Marshalls.com (corporate) & Marshalls.co.ukĀ  (corporate & products).

Yesterday I reported that Facebook acquired the premium domain name Groups.com and now they have acquired another premium domain name, React.com from its past owners.

React is a programming language used by Facebook and is a JavaScript library for user interfaces. Facebook has been using the domain name ReactJS.org for the project but I’d expect that to change to React.com in the near future. Currently, React.com is redirecting to Reactjs.org.
