Blue Cross Blue Shield has acquired HealthOfAmerica.com which was for sale using Uniregistry. They are currently redirecting the domain name to a page on BCBS.com titled The Health Of America Initiative.
MetalHub.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client.
Interruptions.com has been acquired by a currently unknown NetNames client. This domain was also for sale using Uniregistry.
NaturalChoice.com has been acquired by a currently unknown SafeNames LTD client from Josh Bond according to whois records. The domain was caught on the drop January 26, 2015 and is a great domain, with many companies using the term for branded products! OnlineDomain.com reported that NaturalChoice.com sold for $2,568 on DropCatch in the 2015 auction. I have reached out to Josh to see if he is willing to share the story (I did not hear back from Josh prior to posting but will update at a later time if I do).
Campbell Ewald has acquired the domain name FueledBy.com out of the GoDaddy NameFind portfolio. The domain had an offering price of $5,099. Campbell Ewald is an advertising and marketing communications agency based in Detroit, Michigan and is part of Interpublic Group. This purchase was likely for a client.
SoftWear.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain had a minimum offer amount of $7,500 on Afternic but I couldn’t find the sales price.
Netflix, Inc. registered the domain name Beyond13th.com adding to the approximate 1,000 other domain names they own.
Facebook Inc. has filed a trademark for the term Lifestage and as I mentioned in August 2016 also secured the EMD Lifestage.com. Facebook used Hogan Lovells Paris LLP as it often does and acquired the domain about August 9, 2016 timeframe. In general, Facebook does a great job acquiring EMD’s of things they are doing.
Tesco PLC has acquired ClubCard.com which was offered on the Uniregistry system. The domain name held a $121,000 offing price.
MUSIC Group IP Ltd. has acquired Vidial.com. The transaction took place around July 7, 2016. The website is live and offers a music video platform related app.
Acuris.com has been sold for $44,000 to a currently unknown buyer and was owned by DomainShop.com prior. You can view DomainShop.com’s reported sales here, which contains many five figure domain sales.
YouInvest.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client out of GoDaddy’s NameFind domain portfolio. This was a Worldwide Media Inc. domain name prior.
Farmers Edge Inc. has acquired SmartFarmers.com using domain name aftermarket service Afternic. The domain is redirecting to FarmersEdge.ca/winatrip/ which is announcing something coming soon, on March 3, 2017 that is Stronger, Faster, Smarter and may be related to the new domain purchase. Many new ventures are getting into the agriculture business to bring tech into farming.
United Online Web Services, Inc. has sold the domain name 5U.com to a Chinese domain investor, with the domain transferring out of CSC Corporate Domains over to eName.
