Microsoft Corporation registered the domain name MakeCode.org back in March 2017. The domain just came out of generic whois data to reveal Microsoft. MakeCode.com was acquired from Frank Schillings Name Administration Inc. around February 22, 2016 and now also displays Microsoft were the buyers of that domain name as well.
Disney registered the domain names DisneyWorldCakes.com and TangledQuest.com and also took ownership of the domain name TruthAndLiza.com which was registered in 2014 and was under privacy at GoDaddy.
E. I. du Pont de Nemours and Company (DuPont) has acquired Aurist.com from HugeDomains. The domain held an offering price of of $1,795 in 2015 but I wasn’t able to find a more recent offering price. The term holds meaning as an ear specialist.
Cellars.com has been sold at domain name aftermarket service Sedo and acquired by Afterthought, Inc. which is owned by Ammar Kubba. The domain was owned by Reeck Enterprises LLC prior. The domain was part of the GreatDomains auction and held a reserve range of $5K-$10K but I wasn’t able to find the auction end price.
CIT Group Inc. allowed the domain name Emits.com to expire and the domain was grabbed on the drop by NameJet. CIT also allowed OnlyMagic.com to expire around the same time, which was also grabbed on the drop.
Aon Corporation has acquired OneUnderwriting.com from Ancile Insurance Group Ltd.
No.com which was owned by public company Centralnic, has transferred to GoDaddy under whois privacy protection. Centralnic had stated they made a $5.1 million dollar domain deal but didn’t announce what domain or domains sold for that amount. I had speculated that GoDaddy’s NameFind likely acquired some of its 2 letter .com domains and this just may be 1 of them. That is only speculation but could be the case.
GetLulo.com and LuloInsurance.com have been registered by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. It doesn’t appear Lulo.com has been acquired at this point.
HackerCombat.com/.net have been registered by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client.
SASSOMECCANICA S.R.L. has acquired Sasso.com from Tucows, which was part of there Realnames portfolio.
Genie Capital has acquired EMD Genie.org at domain name aftermarket service Sedo. The domain sold for $4,415 in 2010 but I wasn’t able to find the recent sales price.
LiftLogic has acquired its EMD LiftLogic.com also at Sedo. The domain name sold for $2,788
Glaxo Group Limited (GlaxoSmithKline) were the buyers of FindMySite.com that I had mentioned in an earlier article but was not aware who the buyers were at the time. Marksmen assisted the company.
GoDaddy has sold personal name Trever.com which is an upgrade for Trever.co based on where the domain is currently resolving to and who the buyer is.
Golfer.com is now owned by CBS, which was owned prior by Scout Media, which CBS acquired. CBS also took ownership of Scout.com in the deal.
never quite understood Centralnic and to be honest never investigate them. are their country code 2 letter domains for sale? they own/manage a bunch of them…

I wouldn’t say in general that there 2 letter domains are for sale… but they are and they have sold several of them. In some fashion, some of the Centralnic domains were part of the “Elite Domains” portfolio purchase that DotWeekly broke the news on in April 2016 when GoDaddy acquired a portfolio then.
Elite Domains/Brokeragefirm portfolio was acquired by GoDaddy in April 2016, but I was under the impression that Centralnic had already all the 2 letter country codes. Almost as they were like a domain holding company for these special purposes domains that were reserved…
