GoMarch: Generic Buy Now Domain Names

In a series that I am winding down now a bit (not daily anymore) that I call GoMarch, I highlight 5 domain names a day from the past Marchex domain name portfolio that GoDaddy.com acquired for $28 million. The domains were pretty hard to acquire when Marchex owned them but now GoDaddy is Buy Now pricing them.

To view all past articles like this, simply click this and you will see the category listing all the past articles.

Here we go with today’s list:

Domain Name | Buy Now Price | Minimum Offer Price

Mouthwatering.com | $13,000 | $8,450 | Screams “food” site / brand! I really liked this domain and it “had” a $500 minimum offer prior to being buy now priced. GoDaddy doesn’t seem to have a rhyme or reason behind it’s pricing sometimes. I like this domain closer to the minimum offer amount. It’s still a very nice domain but I think they priced it a bit high on the BIN and it was really disappointing to see them price it so much higher. Still a great domain for a food brand type site.

VirtualLearning.com | $6,199 | $4,029 | Online education is growing rapidly and this make sense domain name fits very well into the mix. Very fairly priced IMO. Should sell fast. Natural searches on the exact search term.

Pairing.com | $15,000 | $9,750 | A match made in heaven? Having the proper pairing can make all the difference.

Suffixes.com | $20,000 | $13,000 | gTLD future site? TLD’s are often referred to as “suffixes” and with all the new gTLD’s coming out, it may be a good choice to launch a site relating to them.

Julianna.com | $25,000 | $16,250 | Given name / first name and a pretty popular one at that! Fairly easy to spell, which is often a challenge with a given name. First names are always a good option for a brand name.

Thank you for checking out the series. I may start it back up at some point depending on what GoDaddy does with pricing  or do one from time to time etc. but I won’t be doing the daily series any longer. Everything is being priced in the five figure range, often it seems without reason other than being in the five figure range. The terms can seem “okay” because there are a lot of er’s and ing’s and plurals compared to the “best” option. It is getting more rare to find “oh, that’s not bad” pricing like VirtualLearning.com is above. I’m seeing domains like ScrambledEggs.com being priced at $25K? ToiletBowl.com $30K for an example which are just way to high.

I do have a list that I have pre-made with attractive domains, so I will finish up that list and keep an eye on domains that I also have an eye on that are not priced yet.
