Westfield Acquires URW.com + More Domain Movers

URW.com

In today’s company focused Domain Movers, we see a bunch of premium domain name assets changing ownership! Most of these can and likely should be stand alone stories, but I already pulled out Glo.com and Visible.com so the rest are tucked into the following Domain Movers.

Home Partners of America were the buyers of LeasePurchase.com that I mentioned earlier. Marksmen assisted in the purchase and the domain held a $5,000 buy now.

Copy.com which was/is owned by Barracuda Networks Inc. has transferred out of CSC Corporate Domains to GoDaddy under whois privacy. Barracuda offered a service on the domain name but it shut down May 1, 2016 and displayed a message about Trove and Opensense as other options for Copy users. That message still is displayed, so it’s unclear if the domain changed ownership or not. I wouldn’t call it “common” that a premium generic domain name transfers registrar for no reason, especially out of a corporate registrar. Barracuda.com for an example, remains at CSC, so this likely wasn’t a consolidation move.

Host.com has acquired Hosts.com out of GoDaddy’s  NameFind portfolio for an undisclosed amount. The domain moved into Afternic Escrow around January 24, 2018 according to whois records and then moved into whois privacy.

Insider.com has moved into escrow at Sedo and appears to have sold. The domain name is pendingtransfer currently, so the buyers are unknown.

The Real Market Investors, Inc. have acquired GospelCountry.com at domain name aftermarket service Afternic for an undisclosed amount. The company runs “The world’s largest country music network” according to is website on CountryRebel.com.

Inbrand AB has acquired Nagato.com from Name Administration Inc. The domain name held a buy now of $71,500 but the exact sales price is unknown. Inbrand owns a little over 6,000 domain names total.

Avanos.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client from its past owner, for an undisclosed amount. The domain name was for sale via Uniregistry and registered at Moniker at that time. On May 4, 2018 the domain transferred to FastDomain.com and displayed Bates & Bates LLC (ip law firm). The domain then transferred to CSC on May 8, 2018.

WeHaveAlwaysLivedOnMars.com has been registered by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. The domain was set to dual name servers of VerisignDNS and Dynect but the domain does not resolve yet.

Citizens Financial Group Inc. registered CitizensBankCoin.com and CitizensBankCoins.com adding to the nearly 600 domain names owned by the company.

Valeant Pharmaceuticals is rebranding as Bausch Health Companies Inc. and registered BauschHealth.com on April 11, 2017 using generic whois data at CSC Corporate Domains. Valeant owns Bausch & Lomb and uses Bausch.com for that brand name.

Westfield LLC were the buyers of URW.com that I mentioned prior that was acquired by an unknown CSC Corporate Domains client at the time. The domain name was acquired from Telepathy, Inc. for an undisclosed but potentially a high five figure or likely six figure sale. Unibail-Rodamco is acquiring Westfield for $32 Billion, so the combined names Unibail-Rodamco Westfield align with the acronym.

Update: The domain name URW.com sold for $195,000 as reported by DNJournal.com on 5/17/2018

WealthExpert.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain name held a buy now of $4,997 at Sedo, which was a pretty fair price.

Map.com has been reported sold in a tweet from Elliot Silver of DomainInvesting.com. The domain moved into Afternic escrow and held a minimum offer amount of $500,000 at the time. The sales price is unknown but is likely over that $500K! The domain is now showing “[email protected]”, so it was likely a Chinese buyer.
