Global Internet Services Ltd. has acquired an extremely rare domain name, G.org from GoDaddy, out of its NameFind domain name portfolio for an undisclosed amount.

I always expected Google to buy this domain or for GoDaddy to keep it for use but in the end, that didn’t happen.

GoDaddy acquired the domain name from the Elite Domains portfolio they acquired in April 2016 for $40+ million.

The Elite Domains portfolio contained a total of 4, single character domain names:

This morning I made a discovery and noticed the domain name 2.co was listed for sale on GoDaddy’s NameFind website. After doing some more research, I noticed a large amount of premium .co domain names were listed on GoDaddy’s NameFind site on January 4, 2017.
