GoDaddy Sells Premium Generic Domain Name Decals.com

GoDaddy has sold the premium generic domain name Decals.com, which was part of the NameFind domain name portfolio. This was a past Marchex domain name which GoDaddy acquired its domain name portfolio for about $28 Million in April 2015.

The domain name has been purchased by Lakes Area Graphix and Signworx of Minnesota. The company also owns and use the premium generic domain name Banners.com (they also own Banner.com) and several others like StreetSigns.com and Signs.net.

Decals.com had a minimum offer amount of $250,000 but the purchase price is unknown.

Being a former sign business owner myself, I am well aware what decals are. They are “stickers” and are very popular. Decals are used on vehicles for lettering, logos, in-home wall decorations, stencils, banners, yard signs etc.

Great domain name and I’m glad to see a wise end user purchased it. One would have to figure that the power of Banners.com/Banner.com has helped them with the decision to invest in another premium generic domain name.

      1. Mostly inbound actually. We find that having brokerage links on the parking landers and distribution to registrars via AfternicDLS generates enough quality leads for us that we don’t currently need to do much outbound.

  1. Hello Jamie,

This company displays a savvy Online Marketing Strategy Staff. We wonder if they are aware of the SEM Models Traffic Stealing Trap ? Also do you have knowledge of Go-Daddys practices as far as recommending SEM to their .COM Equimoddity purchase clients ? JAS

    1. Wow, I’d like to answer but don’t understand the question. GoDaddy does offer Online Marketing services to our SMBs, if that’s who you are considering “equimoddity purchase clients”

      1. Hello Paul,
You do understand that as much as 40% of a websites traffic in the SEM Model is diverted away from the website to other competitors in the SEM Model, don’t you? Also do your strategists when offering Marketing services, recommend SEM Model Advertising? JAS

        1. Most Google advertisers are drinking Google Kool-Aid and going with the mentality that other extensions other than the Strategic .COM Profit Centers are just as good, as long as they use Google Ad-sense Marketing. You will find that 99% of all Google Ad Marketing Agencies are Clueless about the superior Marketing Strategies that All .COM Profit Centers embody. They got it wrong thirty years ago and continue their flawed Marketing Strategies to this day. They still don’t get that they lose their clients valuable Rustled Traffic within the Google Traffic Rustling Maze. Actually losing as much Traffic as they gain in the Google Ad System. Utterly Amazing to us that this is still being used by most Uneducated Online Advertising Agencies. If their Online website owners knew the truth of the matter, they would be Furious. There are two recipes for Online Business Failures: 1. NOT owning a .COM Profit Center 2. Using Google Marketing Gratefully, Jeff Schneider (Contact Group) (Metal Tiger) Former ( Rockefeller I.B.E.C.
