Domain Movers: Ritual.com, Vitalize.com + More

Some pretty big domains in today’s Domain Movers series, which keeps track of corporate domain name transactions. These discoveries are often very fresh and reveal new branding, future marketing campaigns, new products, services and more by companies around the world.

Symantec Corporation has registered several domain names hinting at a new product called “Core” with the Norton brand name and potentially is a router. The domain names registered are: CoreNorton.com, CoreByNorton.com, GetNortonCore.com, MyNortonCore.com, NortonRouters.com and NortonWifi.com

BeautyIQ.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client. Big Horn Consultants assisted acquiring the domain name.

A new women’s vitamin startup under the brand name Ritual, did the wise thing and acquired the premium exact match domain name Ritual.com about July 16, 2015. The company has now officially launched and is offering a subscription base business model.

To note, in a TechCrunch article about the startup in May 2016, it noted the company at that time had $1.3 Million in angel funding. To date, they have equity funding of $5 Million. Ritual was founded in June 2015.

Nintendo of America Inc. registered its new product name, Nintendo Switch EMD NintendoSwitch.com the morning of the launch announcement, October 20, 2016 at about 1:55:09 am. The domain name is forwarding to Nintendo.com/switch

Convoy.com which sold for $135,000 to a startup, was revealed in a great interview via OnlineDomain.com.

Vitalize.com appears to have been acquired by BodyBuilding.com. The domain name has been under whois privacy since 2007 and as late as 2015 displayed a website for Vitalize Organic Skin Care Products. The domain name transferred from GoDaddy to MarkMonitor on October 9, 2016 and was put under the generic DNStination Inc. Name servers have now updated to reveal BodyBuilding.com.

VitalizeBrands.com/net/org, VitalizeFitness.net/org, VitalizeHealth.net/org and VitalizeNutrition.net/org which were all registered in August 2016 all changed name servers from MarkMonitor to BodyBuilding as well.

4KVideo.com was acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client around November 2014, as well as 4KTheater.com from the same seller. Both domains have had name servers change but have yet to reveal who the buyer is.

Home Box Office, Inc. (HBO) has acquired the 4 letter domain name TNON.com. The domain was owned by Gregg Ostrick of GNO, Inc. The purchase appears to have taken place around August 11, 2016.

TrueCar Inc. has acquired its exact match domain in .org, with TrueCar.org. TrueCar was founded in 2005 under Zag.com inc. TrueCar also acquired the premium generic domain name True.com in February 2014 and uses the domain name for its corporate site, which also matches its NASDAQ ticker symbol.

Marksmen has assisted a currently unknown client acquire NNE.com from Anything.com, Ltd. for an undisclosed amount, but potentially a six figure deal!

Hard Rock Café International USA, Inc. has acquired Sound-Bites.com with the help of Marksmen as well. The domain was listed for $4,488 and sold for $3,366, a 25% price reduction from buy now pricing.

Energy Ratings, LLC has acquired its EMD from Telepathy, Inc, EnergyRatings.com for an undisclosed amount.

Tempic has acquired the premium generic domain name Orchestra.com. The transaction was handled by Escrow.com for an undisclosed amount. Tempic offers software engineering, digital strategy and web design according to its website. The domain has been registered since 1995 and moved into escrow in June 2016.
