Welcome! This is Domain Movers. We do a bunch of research every day to discover domain name transactions by companies around the world and report our findings to you. These are often early indicators of new brands, marketing and advertising efforts, domain name upgrades and more.

Getting early information is fun, helpful and educational.

Pilot.com which was owned by Hearst Communications, Inc. has transferred out of CSC Corporate domains to Amazon’s registrar under privacy, while switching name servers to CloudFlare. A GitHub 404 page currently resolves. The domain name has been registered since August 1993 and would be a significant sale if it did sell. I’m guessing it did sell or Hearst did an equity deal with it of some sort.

The domain began using Uniregistry name servers in early 2017 which are consistent with the domain being listed on the Uniregistry marketplace.

Spy.com has moved out of Escrow.com. It would appear Spy Media, LLC acquired the domain name and did payments to do so and has completed those payments.

Pillow.com has been acquired (by a joint venture) by Pillow. The company was using PillowHomes.com prior to the premium domain name upgrade and new funding of $13.5 million on June 21, 2017. The service offers short term rentals. The domain appears to have been acquired in May 2017. The company was formally known as AirEnvy.
