Domain Movers: Neatly.com + Company Domain Hand Reg’s

A little bit of a special addition of domain movers on this Sunday evening. Weekends are a bit slower for domain movers by large companies. All my data is obtained “the day after” it actually happens due to the vast amount of data that needs to be obtained, so I am seeing “Saturday” movements today for an example. Monday’s are really slow, as not much happens on Sunday’s for large companies. Since there is a lack of movement, I can still see other data that I do not always include and these are hand registrations. I often include a couple in each report but today I am including more than normal. So here are company domain name movers with several that have been purchased and hand registered. Here we go:

Sony Pictures has acquired the domain name AnimeCentral.com a domain name that has been registered since 1997 and was owned by CSC Media Group and registered with Network Solutions. The domain was owned by Chart Show TV prior to CSC Media Group which owned it up to about 11/26/2013. Update: Sony acquired CSC Media Group, so this was part of that purchase.

Sony Network Entertainment International LLC has acquired the domain name PsNetwork.com, a domain name that was listed for sale for $25,000 but I couldn’t find the actual sales price. The domain has been registered since 1996. The domain was owned by a Scott Steers of Health Clubs Online who acquired the domain after it expired in September 2009 for an undisclosed price.

PlayStation Network, officially abbreviated PSN, is an online gaming and digital media delivery service provided by Sony Computer Entertainment and they use the domain PlayStation.com for the PSN.

Neatly.com has been sold by domain master Michael Berkens of MostWantedDomains.com for “six figures” according to his companies Facebook page. The domain was brokered by Tracy Fogarty of Domain Holdings. The domain went into privacy protection at eNom after purchase, so the buyer is currently unknown. NeatlyCo.com was also registered on 2/2/2015 and uses the same DNS as Neatly.com currently does. That domain is also registered at eNom and under privacy protection.

Neatly.com has been registered since 2003 and owned by MWD since at least 2007, which is the oldest whois history record.

Spmb.com has been acquired by Schweichler Price & Partners, Inc.

Hand registrations by large companies. Most large companies register A LOT of domain names for a vast amount of reasons and I always include a couple in these articles but not nearly as many as there are! A lot of the domains make little to no sense but most of them are likely registered just for email, internal reasons, general small campaigns etc. Here are some of the domains that make a bit more sense and were likely registered for new products, services and advertising campaigns.

eBay Inc. registered the domain name TechOutlets.com (and several forms of the term)

NBCUniversal Media, LLC registered the domain names Chimp-Phone.com .net and .org but the nonhyphen versions are unregistered. (I don’t think it’s worth it for you to register it either or I would have but it’s up to you.)

CoreLogic, Inc. registered the domain names MyCoreLogic.com and .net

Hospira Inc. registered the domain name Polyepo.com

Zoetis LLC registered the domain name PathToPainRelief.com
