Domain Movers: Japan.com, ATTT.com + More

Here is a snapshot of recent corporate domain movers from several large companies. This includes domain names they registered, sold, purchased and more.

Diageo Plc has acquired the domain name Steeps.com out of the GoDaddy/NameFind portfolio for an undisclosed amount.

Liberty Mutual Insurance Company registered the domain names GoWandry.com and HelloWandry.com

Microsoft Corporation registered IgniteOffice.com adding to it’s 81,000+ domain name portfolio.

Nintendo Of America Inc. registers a new gTLD with Kirby.games Kirby is a video game series by Nintendo. They also registered a few more .games domains like Mariokart.games and NES.games. The problem with .games is .game. If you register a .games, you need .game to cover typos due to the singular/plural nature of the gTLD’s.

Comcast Corporation registered the domain name RingOnEveryFinger.com, likely for an advertisement.

Grainger has acquired the domain name Gamet.com for a typo cover for its recently acquired Gamut.com domain.

Johnson & Johnson has acquired TheHealthPartner.com from HugeDomains. The domain had a buy now of $3,295

USA TODAY Sports Media Group has acquired SteelersWire.com via Sedo domain name aftermarket service for a currently undisclosed amount. USA TODAY is currently using a sub-domain steelerswire.usatoday.com to report on the NFL team, the Steelers.

Tencent Holdings Limited appears to have acquired the domain name FitGroup.com. The domain was owned by Fit, Inc. prior and has been registered since 2003.

International Care Ltd has acquired AupairLife.com out of the GoDaddy/NameFind domain name portfolio for an undisclosed amount.

Campbell Company of Canada has registered the domain name ElevateYourEveryday.com and appears to be getting ready to use it right away, likely relating to an advertisement.

Japan.com has switched to Amazon hosting and may be getting ready to launch a site. The domain was owned by World Media Group, LLC until late 2013 when it went into whois privacy at GoDaddy. This would indicate a potential sale at that time. There hasn’t been much of a website on the domain since around 2005. Did the domain potentially sell again with the recent hosting change? There is potential.

Dunkin Donuts registered several “iced coffee” domain names in two variations, mainly all with brand name + ice coffee or iced coffee. DunkinDonutsIceCoffee.com, DunkinDonutsIcedCoffee.com and a few more.

AT&T appears to be allowing the four letter, triple repeating domain name ATTT.com to expire. It has been registered since September 29, 1998.

MyFirstDay.com has changed whois data from Elmer’s Products, Inc. to Berol Corporation. Newell acquired the Elmer’s brand in 2015 for about $600 Million. Berol is a subsidiary of Newell Brands.

GoDaddy has been selling a fair amount of 4 letter .com “Chips” into the Chinese market. Some of those include CKLS.com, CMNH.com, TLDM.com and many more (20+ in the past couple of days). Two other interesting domain names that have moved over to GoldenName include 3 number .com domain name 736.com and 6.am
