Domain Movers: Fuck.com, Wilds.com + More

Welcome to Domain Movers where DotWeekly keeps track of corporate domain name transactions (and valuable domains in general) and reports the early findings to you. We heavily rely on whois data to present the most accurate information, so 95% of the time we are spot on and once in a great while we miss the mark.

Here we go with the latest:

GoDaddy has sold 5, 2 letter .net domain names. Those were: TY.net, MK.net, CG.net, LX.net and FZ.net. All appear to have went to the same buyer.

Inbound.com has moved from whois privacy at GoDaddy to generic whois data at corporate brand protection service MarkMonitor. The bottom of the current website shows that HubSpot Inc. owns the domain name and they likely have since around at least 2013. The website is promoting the September 2017 Inbound Marketing Conference in Boston, MA.

The Kraft Heinz Company waited until the last minute and beyond but did register the domain name MealtimeStories.com for a joint venture with Oprah Winfrey for a new line of food. The company did a press release on January 25, 2017 at 4:30 PM EST (posted time on the PR, so not sure if it was actually released then) and registered the domain name at 9:53:35 PM (21:53:35) on the 25th at GoDaddy. Considering Bloomberg wrote a story posted at 3:49 PM CST, I’d say the PR time is accurate and they registered the domain some 5 hours after publicly announcing the new offering.

BaselineProject.com has been acquired from BuyDomains by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client.

Kimberly Clark Corporation appears to getting ready to offer a “tube free” toilet paper roll and registered the domain name GetScottTubeFree.com. My thoughts: Not a great job here with this domain by “adding” get to it distracts the real keywords to focus on. The keywords here that people will end up knowing and searching for are Scott (the brand) + Tube Free. ScottTubeFree.com and plural ScottsTubeFree.com are important IMO, both are not registered. TubeFree.com is the best, shortest and easiest to remember. That domain is parked with Bodis and would be obtainable. Even more terms that would make sense on a generic level would be TubeFreeToiletPaper.com, TubelessToiletPaper.com, TubeFreeToiletTissue.com etc. which are all available for registration, so minimal investment.

FuelYourDay.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client from BuyDomain at Afternic.

Playdots, Inc. has acquired the generic domain name Wilds.com from Tucows for a likely new game they are about to offer. The recently registered WildsGame.com on January 6, 2017 as well as Wilds.game.

Viacom International Inc. has acquired the domain name TheRoastBattle.com. The domain dropped in September 2016, so there is potential that they acquired it on the drop but whois shows Do You Like Comedy LLC then.

Disney Enterprises, Inc. registered MarvelBlackPanther.com adding to its 20,000+ other domain names. GoDaddy’s NameFind owns BlackPanther.com.

MamaSitas.com has been acquired by Mama Sita Holdings Co. Inc. with the help of domain buyer Marksmen Inc. Mama Sita was using Msita.com prior, so a nice domain upgrade for them. They do not own the singular, at least yet.

Growth Engine has acquired its EMD GrowthEngine.com from GoDaddy out of the NameFind portfolio for an undisclosed amount.

T-Mobile registered several “BankOn” domain names like T-Mobile-Bank-On.com, T-Mobile-BankOn.com, T-MobileBankOn.com and T-Mobile-Money.com. BankOn.com is for sale currently.

Fuck.com has moved into domain name escrow at Escrow.com indicating it has sold. The domain name has long been under whois privacy, so the seller is unknown. There was a website on the domain prior, so there is potential that this is more than a domain name sale.

Robert Bosch GmbH registered the domain names MultiToolPlus.com and MultiTool-Plus.com. Bosch offers a Starlock Multi-Tool and a Starlock Plus version, so not sure if this is related.

Motorola, Inc. registered the domain name OneMotorola.com/.net but did not register the available 1Motorola.com (I do not suggest you register this, just pointing it out).
