Domain Movers: Clearlane.com, Yasa.com + More

Welcome to Domain Movers, where DotWeekly keeps track of corporate domain name transactions and reports the early findings to you. These domain transactions often lead to new brands, advertising efforts, new products, services and more.

Here is a small sample of domains on the move:

StorkService.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain was parked with Sedo prior to the change in whois records and held an offering price of $9,349.

Thinkville.com has transferred into CSC Corporate Domains out of privacy at GoDaddy and potentially was sold.

HBS.com has been sold at Sedo. Great domain name. Buyer is currently unknown as is sales price.

MoonJuiceShop.com has upgraded and acquired MoonJuice.com. Wise upgrade as they brand themselves as simply Moon Juice with there logo and copy on its website. The company is owned by chef Amanda Bacon. Interestingly, a WIPO was filed on the domain name in 2016 by Moon Juice Ventures, LLC and denied with RDNH found as well. It was stated in the complaint that the domain was offered for sale for $35,000 at the time. It does not appear Amanda is associated with the WIPO filer as they offer cold pressed juices, milks and tonics, where the WIPO filer was in the cosmetics industry.

CXOsync LLC has acquired Moderate.org via domain name aftermarket service Sedo. The domain name was for sale using Uniregistry.

InspiredTreasures.com has been acquired by Marksmen on behalf of a currently unknown client.

Mike Mann of DomainMarket.com sold BeAmazed.com for $34,888 which he reported on his Facebook page. He purchased the domain name in 2005 for $350, so it took 12 years to sell but sold for a nice price. Whois has not updated yet but I expect this to be a corporate buyer.

The Prudential Insurance Company Of America has acquired EverydayBravery.com at Afternic. The domain was registered in May 2016 and was owned by HugeDomains prior and held a buy now of $2,395.

TPC Global has acquired BBQMasters.com at domain name aftermarket service Afternic. The domain name was owned by BuyDomains prior.

Ally Financial Inc. registered a slew of domain names that all start with Clear Lane + keyword .com, like ClearLaneAccount.com, ClearLaneCredit.com, ClearLaneTitle.com and many more. This had me look into ClearLane.com and Ally has also recently acquired that domain name. The domain was acquired at Afternic in September 2016 for an undisclosed amount.

On April 3, 2017 Ally announced a new brand, Clearlane that offers an online auto finance marketplace.

TuitionCard.com has been acquired by a currently unknown MarkMonitor client.

Otii.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain had a minimum offer amount of $3,500 listed at Sedo.

GoDaddy sold several nice domains out of the NameFind portfolio. A few of those include: IpLocation.com, SmartTrader.com, TheExit.com and Bababoom.com.

Yasa Motors has acquired its EMD by acquiring Yasa.com via domain name aftermarket service Sedo. The British company makes electric motors and generators being founded in 2009. All things considered, the company got a great deal on the domain purchase and paid $19,470. This easily could have sold for six figures IMO!

Quicken Loans Inc. has acquired RocketMortgage.com via domain name aftermarket service, Afternic. The domain has been registered since October 1999. The domain has been in Afternic Escrow for a pretty long time (appears to be a couple years) and Quicken has been using the domain as a redirect for awhile. They redirect the domain to a sub-domain, rocket.quickenloans.com for its branded Rocket Mortgage by Quicken Loans.

Allianz Worldwide Partners SAS have acquired DigitalTravelers.com. The domain was acquired by CSC in December 2016 from Network Solutions New Ventures Services, Corp. and whois just updated with the buyers.

About, Inc. has acquired DotDash.com from long time owners Piran Partners LLP. About has been acquiring several domain names to launch stand alone branded sites.

Disney Enterprises, Inc. registered two new domain names and those were AlienSaucers.com and AlienSwirlingSaucers.com
