Welcome to Domain Movers!

We keep track of corporate domain name transactions and report the early findings to you. Here are the latest:

Shurtech Brands, LLC has acquired DuckTapeMaker.com from Trnames/ Home Of Domains. The domain was registered on March 6, 2017 which was 4 days after Shurtech had filed a matching trademark on the term.

GenpactCora.com which was registered July 1, 2017 and was owned by Home Of Domains, has transferred into CSC Corporate Domains. The Genpact Cora trademark was filed on June 28, 2017.

I have pointed this out on many situations. Trnames / Home Of Domains tracks newly filed trademarks and checks the terms as .com domain names. If the domain is available, they register it and list the domain name for $950. Since it cost $1,500 at a minimum to file a UDRP, the TM filer is in a bit of a pickle. It is also the filers fault, that they didn’t register the domain prior to filing the publicly listed trademark, which would end up saving them some money or legal hassle.

BasketWorld.com has been acquired by TotalSport Gestión, S.L. for an undisclosed amount at domain name aftermarket service Afternic. The domain has been registered since 1998.

Microsoft has activated new gTLD My.microsoft . The domain name does not resolve to anything at time of posting yet.

WHS.com has moved from privacy at Dynadot, into generic whois data at MarkMontior. The domain name was acquired from a registrant in China on or about March 28, 2017 and then moved to Dynadot privacy. If you are a frequent reader of DotWeekly, you will know that this move into Dynadot under privacy is a tactic used by MarkMonitor at times, to “hide a domain purchase” for awhile.

AmericasPledge.org has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. The domain was owned by Rally Call Ministires, which still owns AmericasPledge.com at this time.

Blue Horizon Corporation AG has acquired Viraloo.com from it’s past owner. The domain name held a $25,000 offering price.

Warner Music Inc. has registered Anatude.com, adding to the nearly 2,500 other domain names the company owns.

Colgate-Palmolive Company registered the domain name GetVimm.com hinting at a new product?

Good-Gather.com, GoodGather.net have both been registered by a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client. GoodGather.com is currently owned by a Chinese registrant.

MyAccessConnect.com was acquired via DropCatch.com for a currently unknown CSC Corporate Domains client.

ABC, Inc. / Disney registered the domain name RobotOnTheCan.com adding to the 18,900 other domain names the company owns.

XO Group Inc. have acquired TheBash.com out of GoDaddy’s NameFind domain name portfolio. The domain goes in-line with brands the company currently has, The Knot, The Nest, The Bump for an example. Maybe they plan on rebranding GigMasters to The Bash? That would make since IMO. Just to note, since the sales price is unknown, many of The+Keyword .com domains in the portfolio are near the $10,000 range.

DanaMed GmbH has acquired CrazyPets.com also out of GoDaddy’s NameFind domain name portfolio.

Lennox International Inc. has registered HeatUpAmerica.com, along with several other TLDs. I always find it interesting to see what “other” TLD’s besides .com a company registers. There are literally SO MANY, why one over the other for an example. In this case, the .org, .biz and .us and the .cm

BeyondCoal is a term being played currently by an unknown company via CSC Corporate Domains. They registered several different TLD’s of it. Mike Mann’s DomainMarket owns BeyondCoal.com and currently has it listed for $94,888

Linim GmbH have acquired there EMD Linim.com at domain name aftermarket service Sedo for an undisclosed amount.

Elle Vacanze (Adak Italia SRL) has rebranded to Human Travel and is currently using HumanTravel.it but has just acquired HumanTravel.com at Sedo for an unknown amount.

Church & Dwight Co., Inc. have taken ownership of Regrow.com, which was an asset of Spencer Forrest, which they acquired for $175M in January 2016. Spencer Forrest owns the Toppik brand, which relates to regrowing hair.
