Welcome, this is Domain Movers! We keep track of company focused domain name transactions and report these findings to you. These early detection’s often highlight new brands, products, services, future marketing efforts, domain upgrades and much more.

Here is a very small sampling of some recent domain movements:

GoPro, Inc. is moving domain names to NetNames (part of CSC) out of GoDaddy. HeroCamera.com, GoProCamera.com and about 18 others made the move. GoPro.com, the companies main domain name moved registrars in early September according to whois records.

Finey.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC client. The domain has been registered since 2003.

Autocall.com has been acquired from its past owner. DigitalDNA appears in whois records currently and the buyers appear to be CSC clients Johnson Controls and its Autocall fire services offering.

M&T Bank Corp. has acquired Mtia.com with the help of corporate domain name registrar CSC. The domain has been registered since 1997. The domain name was for sale with a $45,000 buy now price at the time.

WelcomeToTheShow.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC client. The domain has been registered since 2005.

NXP B.V. has acquired HoverGames.com from its past owners.

LevelMusic.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC client. The domain was owned by BuyDomains.com prior and has been registered since 2012.

Flipkey has transferred its domain names out of GoDaddy, over to brand protection service CSC Corporate Domains.

Medically.com has sold at Sedo for $53,000 and was purchased by Medcare, Inc. of Tokyo, Japan. The domain was for sale using Uniregistry.

Appboy has rebranded as Braze.com after purchasing the premium domain name, which you heard here first on DotWeekly. First on September 15, 2017 when we reported the sale and again on September 18, 2017 when Appboy was revealed as the buyers. The company had announced some news to be announced on September 19, 2017, which was the rebrand announcement of Braze.com. The company plans to fully rebrand by November 2017.

Briggs & Stratton Corporation registered several new domain names and those were: BeatsBriggs.com (defensive), BeatsHonda.com, BeatsKohler.com, BeatsVanguard.com, BetterThanBriggs.com and BetterThanVanguard.com

Lantmannen ek. for. registered CraftedBurger.com adding to the 300+ other domain names the company owns. The domain is redirecting to: http://www.lantmannen-unibake.com/en-US/eurobake/campaigns/CraftedBurgers/

You may notice the CraftedBurgers plural term used in the URL? CraftedBurgers.com is available to register but they failed to register that domain and that would have been wise of them to do! (you’re welcome if you do) In general, the bakery is kind of “all over the place” with its campaign, it uses the hashtag #trueburger and the page CraftedBurger.com redirects to, mainly speaks of Gourmet Burgers. I like the Crafted Burgers plural term better than the singular term in general. Many companies are offering crafted burgers, one of which is McDonalds and its Signature Crafted Burgers.

Facebook Inc. filed a new trademark for Teach Access and the matching domain name TeachAccess.com which was for sale for $3,288 is currently PendingTransfer and likely has sold.

Ixly has acquired its EMD Ixly.com at domain name aftermarket service Sedo for $6,888. The company currently uses Ixly.nl

Vertiv Group Corporation were the buyers of Chloride.com that I mentioned sold awhile ago.

HubRealEstate.com has been acquired by a currently unknown CSC client. The domain has been registered since 2002.

Name Administration Inc. continues to sell domain names to end users and some of the recent ones included: TheBold.com (held an offering price of $50,700 )which was acquired by Seattle FC, LLC. SafetyStar.com was acquired by Safety Star, LLC. Fifteens.com and ModernHero.com were also sold.

Tile.com has been acquired by Tile Inc. in a huge domain name upgrade for the company! Tile, the Bluetooth tracking device provider has been using TheTileApp.com for many years and now ranks among the elite with this domain purchase. I’m sure the company has long wanted Tile.com, as it’s the best domain name for the company, and the domain has been owned and for sale by DigiMedia.com for many years, but coming to an agreement on price is always the biggest hurdle. That has taken place and this was likely a seven figure transaction similar to what Ring.com was. The company had a recent B round of financing that brought in $25 million (nearly $60 million total) and I’m sure helped with the domain purchase. The domain transaction appears to have taken place about September 20, 2017.

BlackDragon.com has been acquired by JD.com. The transaction actually took place in either late December 2016 or early January 2017.

Chimp.com which moved into Escrow.com in February 2017 and was owned by Chimp LTD prior , has moved out of escrow under whois privacy. The domain is now for sale on Uniregistry.
