It started with Moniker, TheDomains.com is reporting some domains stolen via Network Solutions (Slash.com and County.com) and now this morning Register.com (owned by Network Solutions) sent out an email about a cyber attack:

Amazon has purchased the 3 letter dot com domain name KDP.com from Mike Cohn of Light Industries. The sale price is currently unknown but I’m going on a limb and thinking it was six figures!

Back in August I had discovered that Twitter Inc. had purchased the domain name Dronie.com via an expired drop domain name auction via NameJet and paid $2,551 for the domain. Also stated in my article, Twitter filed a trademark for the Dronie term 4 days after the Twitter Dronie took place at Cannes Lions.

It appears companies are finally heading for the hills and transferring out domain names at mad status out of Moniker.com after the recent security breach. Telepathy is a large portfolio owner and has a focus on 3 letter .com domain names owning many, and they appear to have started on or about September 29, 2014 to transfer out many, if not all domains at Moniker which contained almost all of 3 letter domains (most of the .com’s).
