Domain Discoveries

I noticed some action on a domain name that has been owned by Google Inc. . The domain was with domain name registrar MarkMonitor and has just transferred OUT to and includes the email address in whois.

Google is still shown in whois records as the “owner” (registrant) of the domain and the only change besides registrar is the Registrant Email. To me, this indicates a sale or potential partnership in some way.

Based on whois information, it appears that Visa / Black Card LLC*  is likely getting ready to make a play with “Gold Card”.

I did a little digging and it appears that Visa / Black Card LLC*  likely purchased the domain names and for around $125,000. Media Options had the domains under contract and listed in a newsletter on September 10, 2013.

This morning I noticed that the domain name, which is/was owned by Amazon Technologies Inc. may have sold!

The domain name showed publicly in whois data that Amazon was the owners of the domain name as of 6/02/2014 (minor dns change) and a whois record on 8/16/2014 displays:
